On November 10th, 2007 funded by China Red Cross Society Li Lianjie One Foundation Program Sunshine in Your Heart Care Center program carried out by China Red Cross Society Sunshine in Your Heart Project officially launched in Beijing. One Foundation Program together with Sunshine in Your Heart Project held the unveiling ceremony for the first batch of universities at Bei Hang University.

On that day secretary of China Red Cross Society Wang Haijing, vice director of China Red Cross Society Project Development Department Wang Shunong, Mr. Li Lianjie from One Foundation Program and others visited Peking University Psychology Counseling Center, Tsing Hua University Psychology Counseling Center and Bei Hang University Psychology Counseling Center where they exchanges ideas with directors of counseling center and student representatives to learn the urgent need of popularizing psychological health education among current college students. It is urgent to create an excellent development environment for college students through common efforts of all social circles.

In order to help the construction of complete psychology counseling center at universities, increase knowledge of students on psychological health so that they receive better psychological counsel, China Red Cross Society Sunshine in Your Heart Project pursuing in popularity of psychological health education and psychology counseling centers of all national universities plan to co-establish Sunshine in Your Heart Care Center at universities so as to promote the improvement of psychology counseling centers of all universities, enhance the expansion of juvenile psychological health education and constantly meet the demand of students and teachers on psychological health education.

Since it was founded it put forwarded the idea of mental environment protection. China Red Cross Society Li Lianjie One Foundation Program especially paying attention to juvenile psychological health problem after learning completely the program of Sunshine in Your Heart Care Center Project appropriated RMB580,000 this July helping the program conduct for the first year-establishing Sunshine in Your Heart Care Center at 58 national universities.

A survey result from China Youth shows that 14% of college students have symptoms of depression, 17% appear symptoms of anxiety and 12% have hostile emotions. The word, depression has become a pet phrase of college students. Psychological disease has sneaked into campus. Although most of our universities have psychology counseling institutions teachers of psychology counseling need to strengthen mastering professional psychology knowledge and correct psychology tutoring method; relevant teaching materials and books are very limited; more assistance need to add to help student solve confusions or problems in real life.

In view of such status in quo, Sunshine in Your Heart Care Center emerges on purpose of enhancing university psychological health education and psychological crisis intervention of whole society to develop to the direction of system and specialty. Main functions of Sunshine in Your Heart Care Center are 1. To provide training courses for psychology tutors. 2. To equip with Sunshine in Your Heart shelves and books 3. To organize lectures for students, open fixed selective course, symposia and carry out follow-up for daily counseling tutorship 4. To organize volunteers to offer tutorship help to students. The center puts efforts to strengthen educational training on university, family and students and construct an umbrella protecting the psychological health of college students.

Sunshine in Your Heart Project holds campus lectures all year around across the country	Sunshine in Your Heart Project has opened fixed selective courses at five universities in Beijing

Since China Red Cross Society Sunshine in Your Heart Project was launched it pursues to establish a common psychological health education popularity system for family, university and the society and carries out campus lectures and fixed selective courses to students. It held over 200 campus lectures at over 60 universities in 9 cities across the country and was very popular among over 70 thousand college students. It carried out 17 sessions of YTL Juvenile Life Education teachers' training class for teachers with over 2,800 participants. It held three parents' classes with over 2,500 parents attending the lecture.

China Red Cross Society Li Lianjie One Foundation Program advocates an idea of interactive charity that each saves RMB1.00 per month and a whole family cares about each other which is expressed as per person + per month + per RMB1.00= a big family. One Foundation Program puts the idea of mental environment protection as priority paying attention to mentality and psychology which almost falls into blank field in domestic various public-spirited charity programs and advocating sharing others' pain to make one happier and that everybody care about psychological problems and gain mental happiness while helping others.

Apart from RMB580, 000 for Sunshine in Your Heart Care Center Program, One Foundation Program also appropriated RMB420, 000 helping Sunshine in Your Heart Project carry out psychological crisis intervention program. Through organizing Chinese and foreign scholars to hold international seminars, exchange experiences, train teachers, compile teaching materials, the program improves the level of crisis intervention of psychology counseling practitioners; through holding psychological crisis intervention training class the program improves the service level of volunteers of psychological crisis intervention including staffs with Red Cross Society system, psychologists, social workers, doctors, nurses and workers of assisting forces and plans to cultivate 4,800 voluntary tutors on psychological crisis intervention in a year.
